Aug 2010. Business activity is up and our regulars are looking forward to new business and catching up with all their customers.

Last days of winter.... To make our guests feel more secure we have decided to installed a security camera for the car-park and reception area. As a motel, our reception area is always open and vulnerable to opportunists.

July 2010. We are looking forward to leaving winter behind in about 6 weeks time. The school kids go back to school next week which will be please loads of parents.

Some of the holiday activities here in Invercargill have been very successful like the KidZone at the James Hargest High School. Splash Palace is always popular with families from out of town. Mums & Dads enjoy the shopping and E Hayes & Sons is a natural draw-card with the newly redesigned giftwares department. Some of our guests have been to Bluff and walked the Glory Track and been up Bluff hill for a healthy dose of air.

The Host Accommodation Group has been around for 5 years in October. We were formed out of the AA Host Motels and are now 92 properties strong. We are going to celebrate the date with a bit of fun. Some of our 'Hosties' who have been loyal customers & guests to many of our group will be able to help celebrate with us also.

As Southland is the current holders of the Ranfurly Shield we are expected to see off any teams who wish to take it off us. The next Pre-season Ranfurly Shield Challenge: 23rd July, 2010 Southland Stags vs Wanganui at Rugby Park Stadium, Kick-off 7:35 PM.

With SKYTV's Guest Select (have you seen the ad on TV) our guests were able to watch all the World Cup Soccer games and all Tour de France cycling.
