Refurbished Motel units

In December 2006 we entirely refurbished 3 of our 30 year old 1 & 2 bedroom units to a contemporary style. These units were built in the mid 70's in a Bavarian style which is seen in the gabled roof line. The window frames are also a particular feature not seen elsewhere. We retained the interior features of the high pitched ceiling with exposed timber rafters during the internal rebuild. Our new units built in 2004-5 have the outward appearance of the existing units with a very modern interior including en-suite bathrooms.

You can now enjoy our 2 bedroom family unit with a new bathroom with bath & shower, complete new kitchen & full size range, microwave oven & fridge.

All the walls were relined and insulated with loads of new power outlets for things like computers & play stations. DVD player is now standard in these units.

Energy efficient lighting, all wool carpet and electric blankets for those cool nights that Southland is renowned for. Dec 2007 we gave our oldest units a freshen up with new wood carpets & paint.
